Reality Crew is THE place to train for work in reality TV
Sound Mixing on reality programming moves quickly and in many ways is the most challenging form of Location Sound Mixing . There are no 'takes', the talent is usually not helping the crew person perform his or her job and more often than not, it's all happening while walking down a crowded street. Anyone who experiences this style of recording is practically ready for any logistical challenge that they may face in the future. How do you record people talking backstage at a concert? or while moving from inside a limosine to the back seat of a private corporate helicopter...? Practice.

We do not focus on scripted narrative style shoots
Scripted narrative works can include feature films, short films, commercials, etc... and especially projects where audio is recorded onto anything but a video camera.
Their are LOADS of DVDs, seminars, and books written on 'dual system recording' for 'Location Sound Mixing'. I suggest googling these search terms if movie making is your professional goal.
Reality Crew is focused on immediately allowing you to work on reality TV & documentary style shoots where audio is recorded onto video cameras & the scripts, if any, usually do not involve multiple 'takes' as on film-style shoots. If you miss it...it didn't happen!
